Most outpatient surgical procedures are covered by standard medical insurance. Patients may be asked for a partial payment upon admission to the SurgiCenter, subject to the amount of insurance coverage. The SurgiCenter recognizes its obligation to remain flexible in financial matters. MasterCard, Visa and personal checks are accepted. We require all payment arrangements be made prior to surgery.
Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among men. Those men at highest risk are African-American men and those with a family history of prostate cancer diagnosed under the age of 60. The American Cancer Society recommends that all men should get a PSA blood test and digital rectal exam beginning at age 50 except those at high risk, who should start at age 45.
